Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy dance at the latest ball, and Elizabeth is downright rude.
This week, we’ve noticed that Elizabeth has had quite a social calendar, and at these events, she’s displaying several new love interests. We caught up with her suitors to ask them a few questions and to see what was happening.
The first suitor, Mr. Collins, is in town because he is in line to inherit Mr. Bennett’s estate. Mr. Collins said he is in search of a wife, and since Jane wasn’t interested, he was focusing his attentions on Elizabeth. Sadly, Elizabeth is not interested. It appears Mr. Collins will be unsuccessful in his attempts.
The man who looks like he has a chance at success is the young militiaman Mr. Wickham. Elizabeth and Wickham attended a dinner at Mrs. Bennett’s sister, Mrs. Phillip’s, house. During this dinner Elizabeth looked very interested in Wickham, and they spent a lot of the night talking.
In comes suitor number three. A few days after the cozy dinner with Wickham, Elizabeth attended the latest ball and ended up dancing with Mr. Darcy. It didn’t look like they were enjoying each other’s company- Elizabeth looked hostile and Mr. Darcy looked defensive. Look above to see footage above of their interaction and their dancing.
The other breaking news is that Mr. Bingley will be leaving Netherfield and staying in London for the duration of the winter. Looks like it will be a cold winter for the Bennett girls, all of which are still without husbands.
